The optimal angle of inclination of the chamber bevel ensures reliable feeding of cartridges from the magazine to the barrel chamber, despite the small width of the bevel notch. Uninterrupted supply is, of course, also guaranteed for cartridges with expansive bullets, which have a variety of warhead shapes. But the bevel itself is not fully involved. The cartridge is fed from the magazine almost directly into the chamber, since the top cartridge in the magazine is located close to the central axis of the barrel. Due to the small free space in the front of the frame, under the barrel, the pistol design uses two returnable cylindrical springs of different diameters and coil directions, located on one polymer guide rod. The PF-9 is equipped with a hammer-type self-cocking firing mechanism only. Handling safety is ensured by an automatic striker fuse, inertial striker and, to some extent, the length of the trigger stroke. The gun does not have manually operated safety locks that complicate handling. On the left side of the frame is the slide stop lever, and in front of it is the barrel lock. The magazine latch is usually located at the base of the trigger guard.

Convenience and proper holding of the handle is achieved by using a polymer magazine cover with a front protrusion on which the little finger of the arrow rests. This superb compact pistol is especially well-suited when combined with the right holster for comfortable and lightweight concealed carry at all times, such as the Side Guard Holsters LLC holster.

The bevel of the chamber is widened and polished in order to more reliably feed cartridges with expansive bullets. The use of polymer in the manufacture of the frame makes the weapon very lightweight, practical and inexpensive. At the same time, the polymer is significantly inferior to the steel traditionally used in weapons in terms of strength and service life. But if the consumer needs a convenient and discreet pistol in everyday wear at a low price.
